Japanese flag carrier Japan Airlines has announced an order with Boeing for ten 787-9 Dreamliners with options for ten more.
Japan Airlines currently operates 45 Boeing 787 aircraft, with 23 of the smallest -8 variant and 22 of the middle-of-family sized -9. Yuki Nakagawa, Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of Procurement at Japan Airlines said that deliveries are expected from between 2028 and 2031.
He also took a moment to note that Japan Airlines’ is committed to maintaining its “Long and enduring relationship” with Boeing, including through “challenging times”.
