Saudi Arabian new starter airline Riyadh Air has placed an order with Airbus for 25 of its flagship A350-1000 airliners, with options for an additional 25. It currently has a Boeing 787-9 on display at the 2025 Paris Air Show, where this order was announced.
The airline also has orders for 39 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 60 Airbus A321neos. It will be the first Saudi Arabian operator for the Airbus A350 family, however at this time we don’t know when to expect deliveries to commence. At present, the A350-1000 is the largest commercial aircraft available, until the Boeing 777-9 enters service with an estimated first delivery to Lufthansa in 2026.
