Qatar Airways has announced a total of seven new destinations during the ITB trade fair in Berlin. The new routes are set to commence in the coming months.

Starting on June 24, the carrier will inaugurate a new service between its hub in Doha and the Portuguese capital Lisbon. Qatar Airways’ CEO Al Baker said during a press conference at the ITB Berlin that the airline had finally received the necessary slots at the airport. The new slots path the way for the new daily service, which will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Furthermore, Qatar Airways will start a new connection between Doha and Davao, Philippines. The new service will initially be operated once a week. However, an increase in frequency is planned for the future. The airline’s Boeing 787 planes operate on this route as well.

In addition, the national airline of the state of Qatar announced new services to Malta and Izmir. Both routes will be operated by A320 aircraft from May 23.

A new service to Rabat in Morocco has also been announced. Starting on May 29, Boeing 787 jets will operate on the route.

Moreover, Qatar Airways will start new services to Mogadishu in Somalia and Langkawi in Malaysia. Both flights will be operated three times weekly. The flights to Somalia start in July and will be operated by Airbus A320s, whereas the service to Malaysia is scheduled to commence in October with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
