Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot has received its first Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft at the end of May.

The carrier’s first A320neo jet left Airbus’ production site in Toulouse on May 18th, whereas the A321neo aircraft departed from Hamburg on May 28th. All in all, four A320neos and two A321neos are now already part of Aeroflot’s fleet. Additional deliveries are expected soon.

Aeroflot has almost 100 Airbus A320 family aircraft (both previous-generation ‘ceo’ and new-generation ‘neo’ versions) in its fleet. The Russian airline took delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 jet in February 2020, joining existing A330-300. Furthermore, Boeing 737 and 777-300ER aircraft are also deployed in its network. On regional flights, Aeroflot operates Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes.
