Airbus hit by cyber attack

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has issued a statement, saying that it has detected a cyber attack on its information systems.

The attack resulted in unauthorized data access on Airbus’ Commercial Aircraft business.

This incident is being thoroughly investigated by Airbus’ experts who have taken immediate and appropriate actions to reinforce existing security measures and to mitigate its potential impact, as well as determining its origins.Airbus

Airbus says that personal date on some employees in Europe was accessed. It is not yet known if hackers attempted to target any specific information.

The company is in contact with authorities regarding the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
