El Al Israel Airlines will add two new routes to the US in 2019. In total, the flag carrier of Israel will serve a total of seven destinations in North America, including Boston, New York and Toronto.

A new weekly service between Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport and Las Vegas is set to begin in June 2019. Additionally, the airline will operate three weekly flights to San Francisco, starting in May 2019. Both services will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Dreamliner fleet enables us to expand our long-range route network. Last year we launched a nonstop route to Miami; we are eagerly awaiting the new nonstop route to San Francisco this coming May; and we are pleased to announce today the opening of another destination which is Las Vegas. We anticipate carrying tens of thousands of Israelis and tourists on our new routes and will continue to work towards expanding the network of destinations that EL AL offers. Whereas the service to Las Vegas is currently not operated by any other carrier, the San Francisco – Tel Aviv route is already being served by United Airlines. El Al’s new service to San Francisco was originally scheduled to start in November. However, the start has been postponed to May 2019.

Meanwhile, the airline has started the retirement of its Boeing 767-300ER fleet. As an all-Boeing operator, El Al has Boeing 747-400, 767-300ER, 777-200ER and 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in service for long-haul flights. The short- and medium-haul fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and 737-900.
