Etihad Airways will add a fourth year-round service between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow in October 2019. The additional daily route will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

In addition to the new service, three daily flights between the two capitals are operated by Etihad Airways’ Airbus A380s. The 787-9 is configured with 299 seats; 28 seats in Business class and 271 in Economy, whereas the airline’s A380 aircraft is equipped with 498 seats in total.

Besides flights to the capital of the UK, Etihad Airways operates two daily services between Abu Dhabi and Manchester.

The Gulf carrier’s wide-body fleet consists of Boeing 777, 787, Airbus A330 and A380 airplanes. Etihad Airways also operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and took delivery of its first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner in November 2018. The carrier became the second operator of the aircraft type. Furthermore, the airline has outstanding orders for the shorter version of Boeing’s still-under-construction 777X and additional Airbus A321neo and A350 jets.
