Flynas, a low-cost airline from Saudi Arabia, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. The airline is the first operator in the country to receive an A320neo.

The brand new aircraft, registered as HZ-NS22, is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines.

We have operated exceptionally well with our existing Airbus A320 fleet, which has allowed us to maintain high performance standards in operations and passenger experience. We have an ambitious growth vision and the new A320neo order will further support our plans to be a leading low-cost carrier with the most advanced and efficient technology and will allow us to strengthen our offerings within and outside of Saudi Arabia.Bander Al Mohanna, CEO, NAS Holding Group

The airline signed an agreement for 80 A320neo Family airplanes in January 2017. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2018 to 2026. Furthermore, the agreement includes purchase rights for additional 40 airframes.

In 2007, the airline commenced operations as Saudi Arabia’s first low-cost carrier and currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of A320 and two A319 aircraft. Flynas carried more than 6.4 million passengers in 2017.
