Lufthansa is expanding its international route network for summer 2019. The German carrier will offer a new connection from Frankfurt to Austin. In addition to that, Lufthansa introduces a new service between Munich and Bangkok.

Austin is Lufthansa’s third destination in Texas alongside Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Houston (IAH). Starting on May 3, an Airbus A330-300 will be in service five times a week on the route between Frankfurt and Austin.
Furthermore, Lufthansa plans to expand its Bavarian base in Munich into an Asia hub by adding a daily service to Bangkok. The inaugural flight will take place on 1 June 2019, operated by an Airbus A350-900.
