World2Fly, a new airline owned by Spanish travel company Iberostar, has received its first of two Airbus A350-900 aircraft on lease from Air Lease Corporation (ALC).

The Madrid-based carrier offers flights to the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico. The new Airbus A350 is scheduled to enter service on June 19th on World2Fly’s route from Madrid to Punta Cana. Services from Lisbon are also planned for the future.

In addition to the A350, World2Fly will operate Airbus A330-300s with space for 388 passengers, whereas the A350 has space for 432 passengers in one of the densest configurations of this aircraft type. The second A350 delivery is expected for 2022.

World2Fly was established in 2020 by Iberostar and received its air operator certificate (AOC) in April this year.
