European low-cost carrier Ryanair has announced that it will open a new base at Toulouse Blagnac Airport as part of its Winter 2019 schedule.
Two Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be based in Toulouse and the carrier will add eleven new routes from the French airport.
In addition to the airline’s existing nine routes, the carrier will start to offer services from Toulouse to new destinations including Budapest, Luxembourg, Palermo, Porto and Valencia. New domestic services to Marseille and Lille will be operated on a daily basis. In total, Ryanair will offer 20 routes from Toulouse.
Toulouse Blagnac Airport currently is a hub for the Spanish low-cost airline Volotea and a focus city for both Air France and Easyjet.
Ryanair operates an all-Boeing fleet of more than 400 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline’s largest base is located at London Stansted Airport. In 2019, the low-cost carrier will add further operational bases at Berlin Tegel and London Southend, as well as at Marseille and Bordeaux in France.
