
Scandinavian carrier SAS has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321LR, which arrived in Copenhagen on Thursday.
The brand new jet is registered as SE-DMO and on lease from Air Lease Corporation (ALC). In total, SAS signed a leasing agreement for three Airbus A321LR aircraft, that are powered by CFM Leap-1A engines.
The airline’s long-range version of the A321neo features a three-class cabin layout with 157 seats, including 22 business class seats. SAS plans to deploy the aircraft on transatlantic routes.
The carrier has its hubs at the three Scandinavian capital cities Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. In addition to the A321LR, the long-haul fleet consists of Airbus A330, A340 and A350 aircraft.
