At the opening day of the 2023 Dubai Airshow, Turkish-German leisure carrier SunExpress has placed an order for 45 Boeing 737 Max aircraft. It also has options for a further 45, for up to 90 total aircraft. The order is comprised of 28 737 Max 8 and 17 larger 737 Max 10 airliners.
The Antalya based airline, which has shared ownership in equal parts by Lufthansa Group and Turkish Airlines, currently operates a fleet of 46 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft and 14 737 Max 8. SunExpress operates to 66 destinations across Europe and the Middle-East, with this latest order being the largest in the airline’s history.
