TAP Air Portugal will add three new US destinations to its route network in 2019. Altogether, the airline will fly to a total of eight destinations in North America.
Starting on June 10, the flag carrier of Portugal will offer five flights per week between Lisbon and San Francisco. New services to Chicago and Washington-Dulles will start on June 1 and June 16 respectively. The airline’s brand new Airbus A330-900neo airplanes are scheduled to operate on these routes.
The Portuguese carrier already flies to the North American cities New York (both Newark and JFK airport), Boston, Miami and Toronto.
TAP took delivery of its first Airbus A330neo in November as the launch customer of the new aircraft type. Furthermore, Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft have also been added to the fleet. The airline currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of more than 70 aircraft (A330, A340 and A320 family aircraft).
