Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has received its first Embraer E195 aircraft.

The aircraft, registered as UR-EMG, was delivered in a two-class cabin configuration with a total of 116 passengers seats. It is leased from aircraft lessor GECAS and was previously in service for Royal Jordanian and the Turkish airline BoraJet.

UIA plans to operate the airplane across its medium-haul and domestic route network. The airline’s new E195 aircraft is scheduled to enter service in the first half of this month. A second E195 is also expected to be delivered in 2019.

The Ukrainian flag-carrier already operates a fleet of five slightly smaller E190 jets. Furthermore, both Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft are part of the airline’s fleet. Boeing 777-200 and 767-300 planes operate on UIA’s long-haul flights.
