GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, a Brazilian airline based in Rio de Janeiro, is set to commence non-stop flights from Brazil to U.S. destinations, including Miami and Orlando, on November 4. The new services to Florida will see four daily flight departures from the airline’s hubs in Brasília and Fortaleza and will be operated by GOL’s new Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes, of which the first ones have recently been delivered to the airline.
GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes commenced operations in 2001 and is Brazil’s largest domestic airline. In 2012, the carrier already operated seasonal charter flights to the US with a stop in Punta Cana. GOL owns an all-Boeing 737 fleet and holds a partnership with Delta Air Lines allowing passengers to connect to various destinations on the new flights to Miami or Orlando.
