S7 Airlines has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplane. This makes the carrier the first Russian airline to fly 737 MAX aircraft.

The Boeing 737 MAX is leased from Air Lease Corp. (ALC) and will be operated by Globus Airlines on flights for S7 Airlines.
S7 is currently modernizing its fleet. The airline has recently concluded Boeing 767-300ER operations. In the coming years, S7 plans to operate 10 more MAX airplanes. Furthermore, the carrier is the Russian launch customer of the Airbus A320neo and the A321neo aircraft.
